| 0:41.0 | So way back when you grew up in sunny California, born in Santa Monica, raised in LA, what was that like? |
| 0:48.0 | Fun is the first word that comes to mind. Each was definitely a part of everything we did. |
| 0:53.0 | All the typical things you would think of in Southern California, I experienced those, you know, playing in bands, |
| 0:59.0 | being involved in music, and the whole scene, and just having friends, and having a great time. |

| 1:05.0 | There was some skateboarding. I wasn't the best. Many of my high school buddies went on to do some pretty cool things. |
| 1:10.0 | One of them actually works at Nike skateboard. I'm not going to say his name. |
| 1:14.0 | But he is still a close friend of mine, and we always get together. |
| 1:18.0 | He's a skateboarder, and he works at a skateboarding shoe company. So definitely part of the culture. |
| 1:23.0 | Very cool. So you weren't just outside doing fun, cool stuff. |
| 1:27.0 | You were also getting into computers. What was your first experience there? |
| 1:31.0 | Yeah, so I really spent quite a bit of time on my two personal computers. |
| 1:37.0 | First was the Vic 20, and then the Commodore 64 was when I really dove into and started learning programming using the fun and amazing language of basic. |
| 1:47.0 | I really got into doing my own little, if then, go to type programming with just some choose your own adventures, storylines. |
| 1:55.0 | It was very childish stuff, but it definitely gave me an insight into the coolness of being able to write code and turn out a product and has fun with it. |
