So I've been thinking a lot about that photograph of Stacey Abrams.

You've seen it. I've seen it. We've all seen it.

Of Stacey Abrams wearing, or not wearing a mask.

She is surrounded by school children who all are being forced to wear masks.

Obviously, this photograph went viral because it's unfair.

It's unscientific. It's tyrannical.

It's horrendous that the woman who wants to be the governor of Georgia

is posing for a photograph on the campaign trail when she is not wearing a mask

while these tiny little children who are not at risk of COVID

are forced to wear masks.

And the obvious comment has been made before that the only person in that photograph

who is at risk for a more severe version of COVID-19 is Stacey Abrams

because she's so much older and because she's overweight.

But I've been thinking a lot about this photo because this is a story that has continued

after the first day. As you know, so often our news cycles are so extremely short,

so extremely quick. Our attention spans are so short that even outrage passes after 24 or 48 hours.

But this story has a little staying power and I have a couple of comments on this.

I have a couple of comments on this. First of all,

first of all, when I see this picture, the thing that I keep thinking, this keeps popping into my mind,

is this picture is very powerful.

And will this, is it powerful enough though? Will this photograph cost Stacey Abrams the election?

Will we look back and identify this photograph as the reason that Stacey Abrams lost the election?
