is Illinois in the first game of Geese Memorial Stadium defeats Western Michigan 38 to

nothing. We're going to break down the hits and misses from this game as we always do.

Illinois improves to 3 and 0. Joey, if you would have told this before the game, 38-0, we would have said,

great, that's a phenomenal performance.

Let's go to Bloomington and let's see what Illinois and Indiana have in a top 25 matchup.

But the first half, Western Michigan's knocking on the go line to make it a 10-7 game.

And you're thinking, man, how did this happen where a Western

Michigan team that's not 0 and 3 that really can't move the ball that well is right there in the

game? But Kenet-Otuluga makes the big stop. We'll talk about it more. But another first half that

felt really disappointing in a second half that made you kind of not overlook it but make you

feel way better going into the next week so kind of follow the similar script to the duke game just a

different opponent and we do have to say duke lost today at two lane 34 27 i don't know why power

four teams are going down to two lane but yeah joe similar script, similar script than last week. Yeah, really similar script. I actually thought this first half was entirely more disappointing. Duke, you can talk your way through that. They're an aggressive defense, and Western Michigan was too. You're on the first road trip, Power 4 team. You could buy a little bit of that. that i mean i'm not saying it was something you're

asking for but you could at least talk your way out of that this first half today was really

disjointed was really uninspiring you can't start like that in bloomington next week and

expect to get out of there with the win.

I credit to Brett Bielma, he was, it was a fun presser because at first it sounded like

he was just going to do the whole like, you know, I'm glass half full, try to get, you know,

not wanting to be a glass half empty, but the more you pulled on the threads, all the frustration

that people in this chat are feeling,
