0:00.0	Few years ago, Germany decided to phase out coal as a source of its energy. This decision was driven
0:07.2	by the German environmental movement, which was funded and encouraged by Russia, which does not
0:13.0	care at all about the environment, certainly not Germany's environment, but does want Europe to
0:17.8	be more dependent on Russian oil and gas. The German government had already gone cold on nuclear
0:24.2	energy years earlier, again thanks to that environmentalist movement, and renewable energy is mostly a
0:30.9	joke. So by killing coal, Germany gave virtually all of its leverage on energy away to Putin. Once
0:39.4	Putin had all of the leverage, Putin invaded Ukraine. But once Putin invaded Ukraine, Germany was
0:46.0	pressured to stop buying Russian gas. Now, Germany still needed the Russian gas, so Germany is today
0:54.4	trying to restart the coal plants before the Germans freeze to death in the winter and before
0:59.7	European resolve completely collapses on the sanctions against Russia, which means that Europe
1:06.1	today is weaker economically and from a security standpoint without any environmental benefit,
1:14.0	whatsoever. And the craziest part of it all is that Trump predicted all of it.
1:44.4	Germany is a captive of Russia because they supply. They get rid of their coal plants, they get rid of
1:49.0	their nuclear, they're getting so much of the oil and gas from Russia. I think it's something that
1:55.4	NATO has to look at. I think it's very inappropriate. You and I agreed that it's inappropriate.
