So Catherine and I are bringing you

the best backlist books we read in 2021, all in one episode. We're going to be doing this every

year in January. And for any new listeners, Catherine is from the blog Gilmore Guide to Books,

and she is my co-host for all of the quarterly preview episodes

and many other episodes as well. Welcome back, Catherine. Thank you. Happy to be here again.

So Catherine and I both try to read a lot of backlist towards the end of the year. So January

felt like the right time to do this episode rather than December,

because we would be leaving out some books if we did this in December. And three of the books

I'm sharing today are ones that I did read towards the end of the year. So glad this is going to be

a January thing. And I also wanted to let y'all know that if you are interested in hearing about all of the

backlist books I read throughout the year, pretty close to when I actually read them,

I do share these on the monthly double-booked episodes for Superstars Patrons, where either

Catherine or Susie, they alternate months.

And I share our own book recommendations in the same format as the big show.
