You know, I didn't plan to get political today, and I promise not to get political today, coming from my first podcast in Southeast Asia. I'm currently in Thailand, and I believe the proper pronunciation of this beach community is crepe. It's very nice. It is raining a little.

I've got somewhat of a cold.

I've been on way too many flights and making my adjustment, determining what my next stop will be.

But I was thinking to that song, Fortunate Sun, by CCRR that John Fogarty wrote all those many years ago.

I was at the top of a mountain in Shanghai, Thailand the other day.

I think it's called the Doisutep Temple, I believe.

And we went a couple kilometers past it to the top to where this palace was.

And it was closed.

And we walked down this kind of

embankment towards the edge of the mountain, and there was a little park that had been abandoned,

and there was these stairs that went down. So we followed these stairs down, and we were probably,

I'm guessing, about 6,000 feet straight up. And you just,

you looked out over the scenery, this valley and these mountains and these trees. And, uh,

I guess that's why I just thought of the fortunate sun song from CCR. You know, there was a lot of

conflict going on over here at one point in time.

It's a pretty peaceful place these days.

And I have to say, I'm very fond of the Thai people.

I've really enjoyed their hospitality and everything that I've seen.
