Summary

Daniel Troia is a filmmaker who just released his new documentary, "We Are All In This Together", which traces his cross-country bicycle journey with no food, no money, and his search for human connection. The film captures the interactions that Troia has with the people who lend a helping hand, and shows that those who face the most adversity in their lives, often have the most to give.

A journey taken entirely alone, Troia crosses the Great Basin Desert, climbs over 11,000 foot mountain passes in Montana, and rides over the Sierras, Rockies and Appalachian Mountain ranges. After covering 7,000 miles and 19 states, the film suggests that although so many things can feel overwhelming in our world right now, the one thing that we CAN control is how we treat each other.

“We Are All In This Together” is now streaming on Amazon Prime, Apple TV and Google Play!

We just heard that from Madison. Blagden last week.

We've heard that from countless other guests who have done long, long journeys. And today we're

0:56.4

idea, was to bike across the U.S. twice without food or money and rely solely on the kindness

1:03.6

of strangers. And I know what you might be thinking, like, oh, this guy's just, you know,

1:08.6

freeloading, trying to get a free trip or whatever

1:11.0

it is. But you'll realize there's a lot of work and a lot of tension with how he approached it

1:15.8

and made this beautiful documentary about how we are all in this together, this life. And that's

1:22.3

actually the name of the documentary. We are all in this together. And it is streaming on Amazon Prime, Apple TV,

1:29.5

Google Play. There is a link to it in the show notes. It's we are all in this together movie.com.

1:35.5

And what he's captured, his glasses have cameras in it, and he's captured his interaction with

1:39.5

people. He's holding up signs and trying to get people to help him and hearing their stories and piecing it together to make this beautiful film.

1:47.2

He covers 7,000 miles, 19 states, and the lessons learned and the experiences had are life changing.

1:54.9

So I thought this was a really wild idea.

1:57.6

I've always thought about what it would be like to do something like this.

2:00.7

I've heard people doing things like this, but it's really, really amazing to sit down and talk
