Welcome to The Lost Debate, a show for Politically Ecclectics. I'm Robbie Gupta. And I'm Ricky Schlaught. Ricky, how goes it in New York City? Not so bad. I just did an event at the

Comedy Cellar last night. Did a panel with Greg Lukianov and Jonathan Haidt and Scott Barry Kaufman

for his podcast, which was super cool.

I'm not really a comedy person, but that was a cool stage to Grace.

So no complaints.

Did you tell some jokes?

No, I didn't.

But the theme of the night was why the last 10 years have been so uniquely terrible.

And so not the most pleasant conversation. Terrible for comedy. No, just terrible in

general. And then we had a little comedy like diversion. So I think everyone who bought tickets

knew what they were getting themselves into. And it wasn't really a suited thing for the venue

aside from the free speech common thread, I would say. But it was really fun. And word on the street

is you sold out the comedy sellers? We did. It was pretty cool. I really can't take any responsibility for that given the

people that I was on the panel with, but pretty cool. How's Costa Rica? Costa Rica is good. Waves are good,

weather's good. You know, things are chill. Shout out to the folks at Outposts for giving me

their podcast studio for the next six weeks.
