Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the We're Having a Good Time podcast.

My name is Elsie Sleigh, and I'm your host, and I'm here with my wife

and co-host Hannah Sleigh. Howdy. All right, Hannah's back. She was here last week,

but Derek was in town, and I wanted to get Derek on the podcast. Derekrick's one of my really one of my oldest friends in

general but definitely one of my oldest friends in comedy we did some of our very first open

mics together in a time in charleston where there wasn't even really a stand-up comedy scene

so it's fun to have him on here fun to talk to him you know where there wasn't even really a stand-up comedy scene.

So it's fun to have him on here, fun to talk to him.

You know, I guess if we did more podcast together,

every podcast with him wouldn't have to be some kind of reminiscing podcast.

But I like doing that because I'm not, there's not a lot of people from that original comedy scene still doing comedy so it's fun to to have that conversation it's a connection

that you can make with him yeah the past yeah did you about, you know, where you're at right now in comedy, the both of you?

Well, I don't know.

Derek has an album coming out.

Apparently, you know, he was hoping that it would would already be out but it's in some kind of

um i don't know um technical limbo yes exactly okay i don't know the name for it but yes he submitted

it to iTunes and it's like waiting to be approved sort of thing. Well, that's exciting. Good for Derek.
