So we're going to get to the big controversy of the day in just a moment, that controversy of the day being Joe Biden deciding that basically is just going to let it all hang out. He is now going to say that you're not a black American unless you vote for Joe Biden, which is a pretty incredible pitch. Only a Democrat theoretically could get away with that. But first, let's talk about a couple of things that actually really matter. So right now, the polls are showing some pretty significant movement in the direction of reopening. So just a couple of weeks ago, the overwhelming majority of the American public was not in

favor of reopening. And that was largely due to media coverage of COVID-19, the suggestion

that reopening would inevitably lead to extraordinary levels of death and doom that simply

would not occur if we just continued to lock down presumably until forever.

And the problem was, of course, that that conflicted with the original flatten the curve message, which was, we are going to lock you

down until we have made it so that the system will not be overwhelmed and then we'll let you out
