We're also going to start off by doing the harsh reality about Ukraine and it is, look, this is where we are.

This is a harsh reality and no one likes it. No one's happy about it.

But we're trying to work through it. And there's a new approach here. Trump says his call with

Vladimir Putin is the beginning of Ukraine peace negotiations. Let me give you his statements,

because these are very important. This is what Trump said. I just had a lengthy and highly

productive phone call with President Vladimir Putin of Russia.

We discussed Ukraine, the Middle East, energy, artificial intelligence, the power of the dollar, various other subjects.

We both reflected on our great history, working together in World War II, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.

We both agreed we're going to stop millions of deaths taking place in the war with Russia and Ukraine.

President Putin even used my very strong campaign

motto of common sense. We both do believe very strongly in it. Now, of course, I don't know that's

actually true with Vladimir Putin, but again, as we talked about yesterday, these are negotiations.
