You know, when I was out in Phoenix through the American Freedom Tour couple of months back, I had the honor of interviewing a fellow who specializes in helping patrons all across the country basically get their money back from the government's wonderful and the response to that interview was so overwhelming from you that we knew we had to have them back.

1:12.0

So Josh Siklowski is with us again. He's a commercial real estate owner who's made an amazing discovery that's helping scores of people get their money back from the federal government.

1:23.0

In fact, when he was last with us, helped our fellow Turley Talkers get we were talking before this, it's like over $7 million back for their businesses.

1:34.0

I mean, it's absolutely amazing. And he's going to show you right now how to do that. So welcome back Josh. Great to have you back with us.

1:42.0

Hey, thanks for having me. Appreciate the call and you know, yeah, we had a great time in Phoenix and you know, looking forward to having even better time this time.

1:52.0

Yeah, absolutely. And I remember that's when I first learned about this discovery you made regarding the Cares Act that Biden changed. I guess it was in March of last year and you discovered.

2:05.0

I think you called it back then a glorified grant that people can find out about, by the way, if they qualify just by clicking on the link below.

2:14.0

But can you give us a bit of the background of all this? What is the Cares Act and how does it relate to what you discovered of late?

2:22.0

Yeah. So what's funny is ERC is what stands for employee retention credit. And it's actually been around the exact same time when PPP started back in March of 2020 when the pandemic started.

2:36.0

The whole reason for PPP was to help business owners get money to then pay their employees right.

2:43.0

And a lot of people didn't apply for it because it was alone originally and that being forgiven.

2:50.0

But this will actually start at the same time, but you couldn't do both. You couldn't do PPP and ERC right.

2:57.0

So majority of people did PPP because it was so easy to do. You're going your banker, your Fintech company, they're contacting you to help you get their PPP money for your business, which they got a commission for that.

3:11.0

Sure. But then a year goes by, obviously PPP number two started in the third or fourth quarter of 2020, then in March of 21.

3:22.0

And so let me first say PPP and also EIDL, that's within the umbrella of that Cares Act. And so is ERC.

3:31.0

But in March of 21, President Biden amended it and he first said, if you got PPP, you can now get ERC. And this is up to $26,000 per W2 employee, right.

3:43.0

And it's global some stuff, but it's just a weird gray area that it's kind of hard to understand. And me as a business owner, you know, I was always looking for different ways to help different businesses I have survive.

4:00.0

You know, and so when I saw this, I was like, hey, here's another opportunity for one of our businesses, not in the commercial real estate business, but another business.
