Hello, everybody, Tom Woods here. This is going to be a good one. We're talking about Marx and

Marxism with Professor Jared Casey, who is back again, and whose brand new book, Freedom's Progress,

with a question mark, a history of political thought, is just an amazing treasure of insight

and wit and learning. It's just amazing. It's a tremendous book. Who knows how many episodes

we can

generate out of it. But in particular, I thought, what the heck? Marxism is something that's

juicy and people like to hear about and learn about. So I thought that is our next topic. There's

nothing that says we have to go through this book in chronological order. So I skipped ahead a bit.

I skipped ahead, I guess,

a few millennia, more or less, a couple of millennia. Anyway, Professor Casey is Professor Emeritus of

philosophy at University College Dublin, where he used to be head of the department, and he's

written a number of other books, including a book on Murray Rothbard called Murray Rothbard,

and a book called Libertarian Anarchy Against the State that is also a tremendous one,

but nothing is going to match his magnum opus, which is Freedom's Progress.

Absolutely amazing.
