You might be wondering what this episode is going to be about, but, you know, it's going to be a little different.

I'm not going to be talking to a guest.

It's going to be a monologue.

And it feels very weird because I'm looking at a screen talking. I'm not super

used to this, but the last time I did it with the Lake Okeechobee paddle, it did really well.

That was actually our most downloaded episode ever in the sense of shortest amount of time

for, you know, getting to that many downloads. And a download, by the way, is the same as a view or just basically a listener in the

podcast industry.

That's kind of our metric of measurement.

Anyway, this episode is going to be a little different because I want to reflect on something

that this show has helped change about me.

If you don't know, I took this show has helped change about me. If you don't know I took this show over from

Kurt Linville and Travis Parsons about five years ago. And the reason was the effect the show had

had on them as hosts had basically changed their lives. Talking to these amazing people all the

time like we get to.

It's an enormous privilege and amazing opportunity. Like I don't take it for granted. I probably do,

honestly. But when I really sit down and reflect, it's incredibly moving. And it had had that effect

on them to the point that they wanted to go do something more adventurous

with their life. And, you know, I was thinking about how has the show affected me over the five

years? Has it led me to the point where, you know, I can no longer host this. And no, I still am in

the position to host this show on a weekly basis. But it has tremendously affected me. And I'm going to
