| 0:23.8 | I'm your host Mason. |

| 0:32.3 | And I got home a lot later than I expected, but it was the first pretty good adventure. |
| 0:38.3 | I mean, it was a weekend long. It's not crazy. Nothing like the guests we're talking about today with McKinsey Barney, |
| 0:42.5 | but it was the first one I took my son, my four-year-old on, and I was a little worried, |
| 0:47.8 | two nights of camping, two days of paddling, and really two and a half days overall. I mean, it was basically Friday after work till Sunday |
| 0:56.8 | night and he did awesome. He loved it. It rained. It was storming. It was, we got a little bit of |
| 1:05.0 | everything and it wasn't. He didn't hate it, which is great. And we eased him into camping, |
| 1:10.6 | about over the last year and a half or so. And the first time, just so you know, the first time he went camping, he absolutely couldn't stand it. We tried again, then he loved it, and he's loved it ever since. So it's taken some practice. But it's really exciting because we saw all kinds of cool stuff. I'll do more of a recap on it because I want to talk about some of the ways I'm able to get out there a lot as often as I do to go do small microadventures, like we talked about with Alistair Humphreys in a recent episode. |
| 1:39.5 | But speaking of Alistair Humphreys, we're having someone here who's been heavily influenced by |
| 1:44.9 | Alistair, McKinsey Barney, who just got back from a three-year bike around the world. It was |
| 1:52.3 | 18,000 miles, 28 countries, and five continents. And it started off, well, she started it without |
| 1:59.2 | realizing she was going to do all that. |
| 2:01.6 | And so today we're going to listen just to a little bit of McKinsey's story. |
| 2:04.7 | But if you really want to dive in, you really want to learn more and really see what she saw, her film comes out February 1st. |
| 2:12.5 | So just in a couple days at cycling the world film.com. |
| 2:17.3 | You'll be able to learn more about watching it there, but cycling the world film.com. You'll be able to learn more about watching it there, |
| 2:20.0 | but cycling the world film.com, enjoy the story in whatever you're doing, but if you have a free |
| 2:26.3 | night later this week, Thursday or later, or next week, sit down, watch this film. She is a four-time |
