My guest today is the renowned biologist Paul Nurse.

And he has spent his career revealing how living cells work.

He takes up that challenge of describing what it means to be alive in a way that all of us

can understand. This is one of those conversations that I live for. I did not expect to have such a

great conversation. I mean, Paul's a Nobel Prize winner. That means he's probably got a lot of good stuff going on.

But this was a super fun conversation with a super smart guy. Look, we all know today that biology and science in many ways has become politicized.

I've got my political point of view. Paul has his political point of view.

But guess what? His book is not politics. His book is biology. And this global pandemic that we're

all living in, it's about biology. Now behind the scenes, maybe there's some politics about how it

happened and all that's great.
