Before we get started, I wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for listening and for helping make this show a success.

You may have noticed that this is episode 100, which is quite a milestone considering when I started. I had no idea a few years ago whether this glimmer of an idea I had for a podcast would go anywhere.

I thought long and hard about what I wanted to do to mark this momentous occasion.

And along the way I decided to go back and listen to my first few episodes over again.

And like a lot of podcasters who revisit their earliest episodes, I winced more than a little.

The sound quality isn't there, the episodes are shorter than I'd like, and I think especially

in my first episode I rushed through things more than I should have.

Despite all my early technical challenges, I am so grateful you decided to stick it out with me

through my growing pains and keep listening.

I'm a better writer today than I was back then,

and at least I think a better host as well.

And it's all because I've worked hard to improve

and bring you the best show I know how to do.

With that being said, one thing I realized after listening to my first episode again

was that I kind of rushed through a story that deserve to be told in full.

I'm sure you're well aware that the movie industry really loves its remakes.
