show. And another great day in this greatest nation on God's Green Earth. And yes, it is a great day.

A nearly horrible experience occurred on Saturday night. Everybody knows at least

something about it. The suspect who clearly had plans, he said so in writing, to eliminate not

just President Trump, but key members of his administration, that suspect is in custody.

The acting attorney general, Todd Blanche, says the suspect is not, repeat, not cooperating with investigators,

which we'll see how long that continues. Meanwhile, it has been a

amazing moment for President Trump, and his behavior under fire, and no, the fire wasn't directed at him, it was directed at a

secret service man who fortunately was wearing a bulletproof vest and apparently was not

seriously hurt at all. All of this at the same hotel where President Reagan was shot and had a bullet placed within an

inch of his heart. That was back in 1981. The whole question of presidential assassinations has come up.

President Trump has talked about it.

We're going to be speaking a little bit later in this show with a friend of the show,

Jonathan Allen, a senior White House reporter for NBC News. He was there at the hotel,

the Hilton Hotel, where the attempted shooting occurred,

and he will give us a firsthand report on some of what that was like.

One of the amazing things that has now become clear is that the way that the would-be killer got down into the danger area

where he had some access to, well, actually, the top six parties to the presidency.

That's what's so extraordinary about that.

Everybody was there.

The president was there.

The vice president was there.
