And another great day, another great week, in fact, in this greatest nation on God's

Green Earth. It is a great week because it's the very last little bit of a week from the year 2024.

A lot of people, of course, look at 2024 as a terrible year.

But the Washington Post actually put together, and again, given the fact that the Washington Post is not pro-Trump,

but they put together a series of events that are worth celebrating from 2024. What are the great things that have happened in this year just past?

We will get to that.

And some of it is actually very much worth thinking about.

2024, of course, will also be known as the year

where a hundred years ago, yeah, a 100 years ago, Jimmy Carter was born.

And of course, he died yesterday.

And this is actually showing, it seems to me, that Americans really do care about their leaders,

even when they're controversial, even when they are not the most popular leaders in history.

I mean, Jimmy Carter had one of the great presidential wipeouts when he ran for re-election.

The American people did not want him to return.

They greatly preferred Ronald Reagan.

And the numbers of that preference are just so astonishing. Reagan won 489 electoral votes.

That's right. You need 270 to win. And he had 489 electoral votes. That's right. You need 270 to win. And he had 489 electoral votes in 1980

over the incumbent president Jimmy Carter who got 49 electoral votes. The percentage of the popular vote, by the way, was Carter got as an incumbent president, 41% of the popular vote.

Reagan got 51%.
