Reuters has a headline that says that Trump's return to power

was fueled by Hispanic working class voter support.

And then there's a CBS exit polls that show that President Trump, on his way to winning back

the White House, drew 45% of all Latino voters and 54% of Latino men.

What was the secret of his success with the crucial Hispanic community, particularly in Pennsylvania, where he won that all-important state largely on the strength of a historically strong showing for a Republican among Latino voters.

So, Ruben, were you surprised to see the extent of Trump's progress with Latino voters?

Michael, I really was. I had written columns over the last couple of weeks, so putting his support

at maybe 40%. I thought that was plenty high. I never conceived of it at 45

percent. Both NBC and CBS are saying it's 45 percent. I have no reason to doubt it. They went county

by county and Pennsylvania and elsewhere, and they found that everywhere you have Latinos,

basically, Trump was doing well with Latinos, and he was doing well with all sorts of Latinos,

with Cuban Americans in South Florida, well with all sorts of Latinos, with Cuban Americans in

South Florida, with Mexican Americans in South Texas, with Puerto Ricans in, you know, eastern

Pennsylvania. It seemed to me that this is what 40%, 45% feels like. The only time I've even come

close to this is watching in 2004, George W. Bush, get 44% the Latino vote.

And as I've said many times, when you get past that 40% threshold, there's just no way your Democratic opponent's going to win.
