a day off. But it is a week that has begun and it's a week right before the debate,

which is coming up next

Tuesday night I mean it's soon it's right away it's it's one week from today but with

that debate going on this is a time when public attention is shifting all of a sudden

to foreign policy and national security issues.

For one thing, and this has gotten very little attention, it deserves a lot more.

We're going to be speaking to Gordon Chang later in the show about an attempt by the Chinese communist government

to try to control freedom of speech in a major American city. And how do they do that?

We will be getting to that on the Michael Medved show. There's also a great deal of discussion

about what happened in the Middle East over the weekend

and the brutal murder of six young hostages,

the oldest of the hostages I believe was 40.

Hirsch Goldberg-Pollin, who was 23,

was the youngest of those hostages.
