A great day when the Dow Jones Industrial Average is hovering right at that level of 40,000 points.

It's 39,943.91 right now.

If the Dow does hit that 40,000 milestone, it could be a very important

psychological boost to Americans about our economy, about our markets. Is the reason the

economy is soaring and continues to be getting much higher in terms of the stock market, is that due to

President Trump? He's not president yet, but he has been consistently ahead in all the polls

since October. He says that the reason the market is going up is because big businessmen, including a lot of the very

wealthy and powerful people who have signed on to the Trump campaign recently because they

believe that the economy will have a full and robust recovery when Trump is elected president. We'll talk to economist Peter

Coy of the New York Times about that theory and about what the future holds for

the American economy and of course the impact on the election. There's also a

Is that latest battleground state, Minnesota?

Minnesota has been consistently Democratic and presidential elections since 1972.

There's the last time a Republican carried Minnesota, and that was Richard Nixon, who was on his way to a 49 state sweep. The only state he didn't carry was

Massachusetts. In any event, the Trump campaign has said Minnesota is going to be their

latest battleground state. I do think that is a probably a smart move. It makes them look confident
