A great day, though it wasn't a great night over at UCLA,

where there was actually a battle with some demonstrators coming in,

apparently from outside the university, to attack the illegal

and inappropriate pro-Hamas campsite at UCLA.

The statement from Governor Gavin Newsom just issued, I condemn the violence at UCLA last night. The law is clear.

The right to free speech does not extend to inciting violence, vandalism, or lawlessness on campus.

Those who engage in illegal behavior must be held accountable for their actions, including through criminal prosecution, suspension,

or expulsion.

The right response to that is, duh!

I mean, come on!

What's going on here in terms of violence against police officers, and there was a rare

statement from the chancellor of UCLA block

and his statement was actually aimed in a peculiar direction not at the pro-hamas

demonstrators but at the people who were anti-pro-Hamas demonstrators, but at the people who are anti-pro-Hamas demonstrators, all of this,

yes, for many people, it produces flashbacks, either disgusted flashbacks or some nostalgic

flashbacks of the 1960s and the days of demonstrations against the Vietnam War.

There is a profound, profound difference between those anti-war demonstrations in

1969 and 1968 and 1970.
