Did you used to be a bat like a bat biologist?

I did.

I just can't picture because I figure I always figure you um that your biology interests are dovetailed with your hunting interests.

But the bats that's not really the case.

They certainly were.

I grew up always wanting to be a biologist and wanting to study big game like most biologists.

A lot of biologists do.

And I did my master's on big horn cheap.

So I fulfilled that for a long time.

And when I went to work at the Pacific Northwest to start working a lot more on non-game issues.

And when I worked to work for a timber company, warehouseer, I really started engaging in bat research.

My PhD was on bats and forest management.

Did a lot of work on wind energy and bats.

And before I came to TRCP and got to meet you guys, I was running conservation programs for bat conservation international and led a bunch of research on wind energy and bat kills across the country.

So you mean like bats running into wind mills or not wind mills but they're being hit by the turning blades.

They don't run into bats have a very unique echolocation system.

And they help some sea in the dark.
