Summary

In this Episode (089) of Leupold's Hunt Talk Radio Randy is joined by Brian Cal of the Gritty Bowmen. This is a very unfiltered discussion about the current affairs of public land advocacy, worthlessness of the two-party system, Randy as a party-agnostic, Brian's feedback from of speaking out, inflicting political pain, going on the offense, the Utah doctrine, when silence becomes support, spineless politicians, you can't buy a politician who isn't for sale, drop your party allegiances, and many perspectives on public land politics.

Hey folks, Randy Newberg here with another episode of LooPold's Hunt Talk radio.

0:06.6

Today I am at the Total Archery Challenge in Big Sky Montana.

0:12.4

You're going to hear some background noise because there's wind, there's people walking around,

0:18.2

there's a band playing down at the center down there. So I apologize in advance if this isn't

0:25.7

a perfectly clear podcast, but I really appreciate you joining us. Today I have a guest,

0:33.2

he's been on the podcast before, but I wanted to talk to him now because he's been doing some

0:38.8

cool stuff that is really into public land advocacy and sticking his neck way out there.

0:45.6

And I'm interested to hear what his response or what the response has been to him sticking his neck

1:34.0

access and hunting and conservation, it's something new in the last 10 to 12 years. It used to be

1:40.8

a non-political issue, both sides used to join in and it was easy to get stuff done, but that's

1:47.6

changed like much has changed in our world. And this is Randy Newberg's theory. You'll hear

1:54.7

the details of why I have this theory, but my theory is that until we make this

2:02.0

painful enough, and what I mean when I say this, until the attacks on public land and conservation

2:08.9

and access become painful enough to certain groups that they're not going to change their behavior.

2:16.2

And I know some people are going to hear my thoughts on it and they're going to say Newberg,

2:20.0

you've lost your mind and that's fine. I'm a very, if you measured me on the political spectrum

2:27.3

of America, I'd definitely be right to center. And the beauty is I have no zero, absolutely no
