Hey guys, welcome to Steel Wars. I'm comedian, Steel Saunders, and I do love Star Wars. And each week we find someone of

interest to talk about it with. And we are about an hour and a half out of London.

we are now driving through the English countryside with his brother Joshua.

I'm very excited. We're going to my very first Star Wars location, which is we're going to the

Greenham Common, the resistance base in The Force Awakens. And you just live near here here yeah yeah I live about 10 minutes down the road

so where we're going used to be an old American Air Force base during the Cold War and

they've converted into just a common where people just walk their dogs and rubbish now that we can't

go into the actual no. Most of it's

opened up to the public apart from the bunkers where they actually did the filming. I actually went

up there and had a few of them doing some of the shots and the directors that were having a go at

someone, definitely. So what's it like like you know you're a big

star wars fan to then find out that they're filming there's a a resistance base 20 minutes away

from your house oh it was mental like um it all came out with the um there was like a drone shot from

above and it had an x-wing and a
