You are now listening to Bigfoot and beyond featuring the

0:07.1

Lenin and McCartney of Bigfoot, the other arguably Harrison and Star, Cliff and

0:12.4

Bobo. We have a lot of listeners not all of which are versed in the history of Bigfoot in general

0:26.2

And of course you are very well versed in the history of Sasquatch in that particular valley

0:31.2

Can you fill the listeners in who may not know a brief summary of like how the Bluff Creek project came into existence and how that kind of wraps around this film site, you know, the Patterson film site specifically. Yeah, well, it really, for me, it started in the 2003 International Bigfoot Symposium in Willow Creek,

0:52.2

where we had all of the guys from the old days who we could collect, you know, who were still living,

1:00.0

minus Peter Byrne because, you know, John Green was going but a you know a lot of these old timers who had been to the film site and done primary research there after the Patterson film in

Christopher Murphy and Murphy put it in his book, you know, and they had this theory that the

1:32.2

film site had been washed away by storms.

1:35.8

1:47.7

as Bobo later told me,

1:50.0

Gimlin kind of identified the spot where he thought they might have first seen the creature.

1:56.0

And it turned out when we later just did the survey of the site that he was accurate within about you know 20 feet from the actual

2:07.7

spot where you know the road would have come out and it's pretty pretty good memory, especially because the the landscape has totally changed, you know, in regard to the creek bed is sunk down about nine feet below where

2:28.0

Roger and Bob would have been standing. When you're down in the creek bed, the Roger and Bob would have been at your

2:35.8

head level pretty much, above your head. You know, that part of the film site was washed away, but the rest of it remains.

2:46.0

The problem was after that I started, got to thinking,

2:50.0

and it just sat in my mind.
