| 1:34.4 | Well, as you mentioned, I moved to Durango in 1978 and actually kind of been, |
| 1:37.0 | that was part of the 1970s, you know, running boom. |
| 1:48.8 | And fortunately for me, we had a couple of really ardent and very dedicated runners who kind of took me under their wing and kind of trained me in the shorter distance running. And I grew up in the 10K to marathon kind of sequence. |
| 1:56.8 | And then in the 1980s, I became interested in trail running. |

| 2:08.0 | My foray into ultra-distance running started in 1988 when I, with three other guys, planned, |
