the sun come up and then climbing 10 pitches of rock and descending via multiple rappels and then

hiking back out so a day can last in the mountains anywhere from, you know, eight hours to 20 hours.

Today we have a special guest from the Colorado Mountain School.

Russell Hunter is the sales and marketing manager there, but don't let that shake you.

He is a rock climbing and mountaineering enthusiast and guide.

He's been in the outdoors industry now for 21 years, and he worked for many years at Knowles.

And having grown up in Massachusetts, he fell in love with the out-of-doors through scouting, Boy Scouts, and actually got to take a trip between his 6th grade to the Pyrenees

Mountains, where he realized that that was his true passion. So, Russell, welcome to the program.

You bet. So I gave a brief sketch to the listeners, but will you take a few minutes to tell the listeners about yourself and about your connection to mountaineering and guiding?

Yeah, well, let's see. Like you mentioned, it started when I was in Boy Scouts, and probably even before that, just growing up, running around on a farm and outdoors,

just being outside a lot.

But yeah, in Boy Scouts, we had the opportunity to take some really amazing trips,

the trip of a lifetime with the Pyrenees Mountains that you mentioned,

and we got to climb this mountain called Monte Paredito,
