Summary

Why does an all-powerful God choose to work through imperfect humans to accomplish His purposes? Does God need us to fix the world's problems, or could He simply do it all Himself? Through biblical examples and modern parallels, Kirk makes the case that God intentionally involves His people in His grand narrative, not out of necessity, but to develop our character and bravery. We are reminded that the greatest dramas involve heroes who rise to meet seemingly impossible odds. Listeners are encouraged to shift perspective from pessimism to optimism as current cultural setbacks might actually be setting the stage for one of America's greatest spiritual comebacks. Have you ever asked yourself the question? Why doesn't God just fix all the problems in the

world? I mean,

1:00.3

he's powerful enough to do it. He doesn't need our help, right? I mean, sometimes God has done that, and he does do that. He parted the Red Sea. He collapsed the walls of Jericho. But often,

God doesn't act overwhelmingly and independently from his people, but rather, he uses his people to play key roles in taking ground for his cause.

For whatever reason, God seems intent on you and I playing roles in his drama.

heroes and villains, and the heroes must deploy their bravery, and sometimes the villains

And just when it seems that all hope is lost

against all odds, the impossible comeback happens. It's thrilling. And that's the way it's meant to be.

It seems to me that God not only wants us to be brave to meet the challenges he brings us,

but that he also brings us challenges so that we might learn to be brave to meet the challenges he brings us, but that he also brings us challenges so that we

might learn to be brave. Us learning to dare and to risk is part of our character training,
