Another week, another episode. Today I have a conversation with Mike Gordon, the former owner of Chilcoot-Charlies, a famous bar along Spinnard Road in Anchorage, Alaska. Mike Ran Koots for 45 years. He's the kind of successful entrepreneur that was indicative of Alaskan businesses in the 70s and the 80s. Back when everyone was doing cocaine and the state was

fat off oil money. We get into the early days of Koots,

how the late night scene in Anchorage has changed since the 70s,

and how you shouldn't own a bar if you can't live with the repercussions of a late night crowd.

But he was, and he was more than happy to sit down and talk to me about his business and his life.
