Hey everybody, CJ here. Welcome to episode 187 of the Dangerous History podcast. Yes,

187. If memory serves, that was the cop radio lingo code for a murder. And I suppose it is

somewhat appropriate because we are going to continue to murder the memory and reputation of one Thomas Woodrow Wilson.

This time we're going to continue to talk mostly kind of biographically and chronologically,

and we're going to be talking about Wilson's life events during most of his time in academia,

from earning his PhD through his years as a professor.

And we won't go super in-depth into the actual content of his academic work in this one,

though I'm sure we'll probably mention it a little bit in passing.

But in the episode after next,

what will end up being now part four in this series, that is exactly what I'm going to do.

I'm going to drill down into the content of Wilson's academic work because it's very interesting

and also very important, I think, to understanding his presidency.

This episode was originally going to also include coverage of Wilson's tenure as president of Princeton University.

So it was going to cover his entire time and academia, his entire career there, including his eight years as president of Princeton.

But the episode was becoming so big that I decided to detach that phase of his career into its own episode, which is going to be part three. So,

as of now, my plan is Woodrow Wilson, Part 3 is going to cover his time as president of Princeton,

and Woodrow Wilson, Part 4, is going to dig into the actual content

of his academic work to try and dissect and understand and, of course, vehemently critique his

ideas, because again, these are important aspects of who he was and why he did what he did
