Even if we were crazy enough to do that, we weren't even guaranteed we were going to get back out of that valley after we left the trail.

So we had to make the hard decision to go back through those God-forsaken snowfields that we had just struggled to get through.

So my connection to dual sport motorcycles, I would say it started way back when I was a little kid.

I was from a Navy family, which means I was born in Spain and ultimately moved over to the United States after I was a year old and was moved around the country to multiple states. But I claimed to be from Connecticut. That's where I was pretty

much raised from the age of 9 to 23 when I finally moved out to Colorado. And I bring that up

because Connecticut is where I started riding my little mini bike.

It was a mini bike, a little Honda Trail 50 that my parents had had, you know, back in the 60s,

I guess it was when they all went camping and they would tote these little things around with

them and ride around the campgrounds.
