One of the most valuable lessons you will learn is that you are capable and competent even when not

feeling great. Be aware of the bad habit of judging your ability based on how you feel

all the time. And I think there is a lot there so So that's just a quick little Instagram post.

maybe 15 minutes today and unpack that a little bit and go into some depth because this is kind of a core issue

as part of recovery and the plan that we tend to follow in recovering from an anxiety disorder here.

And you've heard me talk about this stuff, but I kind of want to focus on that particular

concept of the difference between feeling okay and being okay.

But let's define a few things first.

I am not asserting that when you are anxious and afraid

and shaky and vulnerable and all of those things exhausted,

I'm not saying that you are optimal.

So first we have to understand the difference between being okay and being optimal.

And we need to really kind of define what I'm talking about when I say that you are able and competent even when you feel badly.
