I'm Wes Chatham, and this is my good pal, Ty Frank.

Yeah, we're here to talk about season one of the Expanse episode four,

which was a huge, huge episode for us.

It was our first big set piece episode of the of the show. It was directed by Jeff Ollnoh and written by this is the first episode that was actually has the name Noreen Shankar on it. Although I will say that as the showrunner Noreen polishes and works on every script of every season, pretty much.

This is the first one that had his name on it.

So this is Noreen's first big episode.

You know, and before we go further, I want to talk a little bit about Jeff Wellnow,

which is an interesting little trivia story.

But his mentor and the person that spent time guiding him up was Norman Jewison.

Do you know that?

The director, The Heat of the Night, Moonstruck, a really phenomenal director.

I met Norman.

When?

So Bob Monroe, who was our visual effects supervisor in the first couple seasons,

is part of a society of film in Toronto.

And Norman is one of the founding members. And so Bob invited a bunch of us out to a party at Norman's house. So we went out to Norman's house

and we're at this party, this sort of like event for filmmakers in Toronto. And yeah,

got to meet. What season was this? Huh meet what season was this huh what season was this I'm thinking it was season two

can I send a big fuck you to Bob Monroe because we're supposed to be buddies too and

I didn't get the invite I didn't even hear anything about this and I'd love to go so

yeah yeah it was Bob Monroe no actually. So yeah, yeah, it was that, Bob Monroe.
