Summary

Many of us within the family of faith have been feeling more and more discouraged when looking at the state of our country and our world. Some even believe that things will only get inevitably worse, and point to the book of Revelation as a prophecy that is currently being fulfilled. This paranoia and hopelessness has taken over many believers, but this is the complete opposite view that we are meant to hold. In the battle between good and evil, we are on the winning team. Kirk reminds listeners that the chaos and corruption that feels inevitable is merely a whitecap on the tsunami of God's good plan. The current cultural setback may just be a divine setup for a spiritual setback, which requires the participation of the family of faith. Those of us who are filled with the Holy Spirit have a birthright of courage, and that courage can lead to nationwide freedom, prosperity, and blessing—but we must remain hopeful.
