Today we're getting our minds aligned with the truth of God from Proverbs chapter 24 verses 19 through 20.

I would love to draw your attention real quickly to our nonprofit not a needy person.

We want to see the body of Christ caring for one another through practical means just like happen in Acts chapter 4 where it says there was not a needy person among the early church believers.

Okay, today I hope you've seen the title for today's episode. It's entitled Envious of Bad People.

Now we all know what it means to be Envious. It's looking at someone else's situation and wishing it were yours.

Now why is Envious bad thing? Maybe we should get that understood to begin with.

Envious bad thing, first of all, because it's not an attitude of contentment.

And you may say, well, I don't have much to be content about. My situation is very bad or I'm very poor or I have this physical limitation or you know, fill in the blank.

You have your own circumstance that you could put there.

And you might feel there's nothing to be content about. But the scripture teaches us that the wise person, the person who is living with faith and trust in the God of the universe through Jesus Christ is a person who learns to be content in all circumstances.

Because we know that our wise and loving God has placed us in that circumstance, both for our good and for his glory.

What that means is that the plan that he is working out for us is a plan that we are confident is the very best plan that could exist. Why?

Because God is the one who's devised it. God is wise. God is good. God is all powerful. He is doing the very best thing.

Okay, so that's what envy is.

Now, the title of this episode, Invious of Bad People, is pointing to those situations when we look at what's coming of the life of a bad person, someone who is doing evil, doing wrong.

And we see that they seem to be getting advantages from doing that. There seems to be good for them coming out of their actions.

And we can tend to be invious of that or resentful of it. I don't bring this up just out of a vacuum. Proverbs 24, 19 to 20 speaks of this issue. It says,

Fred, not yourself because of evil doers and be not invious of the wicked for the evil man has no future. The lamp of the wicked will be put out.
