again to use the diaper bag as a metaphor there's like all this stuff that you put in and you

think oh I you know found this beautiful perfect bag and this is going to make my life

complete and I'm going to look good and I'm going to be prepared and then you're sort of like

wait a second I have no idea and then it takes a few months and you figure it out and then

you're like okay I know what I need I know who this person is and you can't control it but you've

accepted maybe that you can't control it at that point and and so you can lean in a little bit more.

Hi there thanks so much for tuning in. Today I have two guests for you. Nell Shapiro and Stephanie

Merck's. Nell and Stephanie are the founders of Kibu. Steph lives in the Netherlands and Nell

lives right down the road for me here north of New York City. I actually share office space

with Nell's husband Dan and when I found out that his wife owned a minimalist diaper bag company

I knew that we had to be friends. Not only do I love my Kibu but I've also enjoyed getting to know

Nell and Steph and their story. Like so many others they stumbled to find mom friends in the early days.

They found each other in a music class and after many conversations about how much they needed

a minimalist simple diaper bag they brought it to life. Today they're sharing more about their

story and more about what it's like to be a small business owner especially in a pandemic.
