My entitled friend demands that we go vegan for Thanksgiving, claiming that if we're eating at her house for Thanksgiving,

then we're required to go 100% vegan, with no exceptions being allowed.

So, I decided to back out and accidentally start a movement amongst my friend group that resulted in everybody backing out of her stupid Thanksgiving dinner,

which then caused my vegan friend to freak out on me

and try to turn everybody against me. Here's what happened. Okay, so I have a friend who went

vegan about 10 years ago, and we've been friends for over 20 years now. We have a large group of

friends of about 20 people, and there are a few of us that switch off cooking dinner on Thanksgiving

for whoever's in town. Now ever since my friend who we will

call Anne went vegan, we've always accommodated her dietary restrictions with at the very

least some kind of tofu turkey that she can eat, as well as one side dish and one dessert being

strictly vegan. This year, Anne jumped in early and for the first time ever said that she

wanted to cook Thanksgiving dinner this year.

And that honestly wasn't a problem until she informed us in the group chat that the dinner

will be 100% vegan. Some of us offered to bring some omnivore offerings, including a turkey,

but she insisted that we eat vegan while at her house. She declared that vegan food tastes

exactly the same as omnivore food. But guess what?

It definitely doesn't. I've been to her house and choked down bean burgers and chocolate cake

and probably a dozen other meals, each of which she insisted tasted just like the real thing.

She even tried to fool me once with a Beyond Burger, insisting that it was a real hamburger.

I have only found a limited number of

vegan dishes that I actually enjoy, and none of them have ever been made by her. So, after
