My entitled mother lies to my face, telling me that I have a heart defect ever since I was a baby.

And she did all that just to try and prevent me from getting the COVID-19 vaccine.

And when I found out the truth, I was absolutely enraged.

And I absolutely could not believe that she would do something like that to me.

Here's what happened.

So this was in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Right when they started announcing the vaccine for teenagers,

I was living with my mom who wasn't anti-vax growing up,

but now believes COVID is fake.

And the vaccines are evil in all this other weird stuff.

I had told her I wanted to get the vaccine and asked her to book me an appointment.

But she said no.

Every time I asked her, it was a no with whatever excuse she decided to make up.

Until one day, I sat her down and I decided either she support me in this choice,

or I would go and get it done myself without her.

And this is what I had to say.

I said, mom, I know how you feel about the vaccine.

But you are immunocompromised.

And if you get COVID, this will be really bad.

I need to get this vaccine.

My mom looked at me and said, I don't care.

No, you are not putting that in your body.
