An entitled Karen demands that my deaf employee apologize to her, all because she said they

were ignoring her.

And when I tried to explain that this employee was deaf, she demanded proof and refused

to believe me.

Things got so bad that I had to kick this entitled Karen out.

Here's what happened.

For reference, I spent 15 years of my life being a restaurant general manager.

I've got some crazy stories, and this one certainly takes the cake.

It was Mother's Day and it was one of the busiest days at my restaurant.

She had quick service, self-seating, and casual dining.

An entitled Karen already ordered, had her buzzer, and was waiting for a table to open.

She sees another family get up and immediately runs to the dirty table to reserve it.

No big deal, right?

It just needs to get cleaned up and then they can happily sit there if they want.

This entitled Karen sees my deaf employee and begins yelling at her from behind.

So to this Karen, the deaf employee just simply doesn't do anything at all.

She continues to follow them and berate them around.

Now I understand that there is no sign saying my employee was deaf, but I believe that a

normal person would realize that something was off after getting no acknowledgement at all.

I noticed something was going on and walked over to the already irate entitled Karen and

asked if I could help.
