Well, I absolutely love being back in College Station. My family has been back in

College Station for about a year and a half now. And one of the reasons that I love being back is that I'm a very nostalgic person.

And so it's very easy for me to drive around town and to step onto campus

and to immediately remember all of the good things that happened in this town

and on this campus while I was in college.

And I loved my four years that I was here

during, uh, here at Texas A&M. But as I'm here, I can't help but remember. And I can't help

but think about the fact that, um, that my greatest season of compromise in unnecessary pain actually began during my time here in

college station. And I've shared my story at breakaway before, but it only felt appropriate for me

to share my story again about compromise because that's what we're talking about tonight and just to be

clear when I say the word compromise tonight here's what I'm talking about I'm talking about

bailing on your convictions and settling for less than who God made you to be that's my definition

for compromise tonight so let me just share you share with you a That's my definition for compromise tonight. So let me just share

you, share with you a little of my story of compromise. During my senior year here at A&M,

I got into what would become an on again, off again, two and a half year dating relationship.

And I think that the best way just to describe the relationship

was that it was an extended season of doing what felt right instead of what I knew to be right.

And I most certainly was not the man that God called me to be in romantic relationships.
