Well, welcome to House Church. My name's Alex, and we have been going through a series in Ecclesiastes.

We are on chapter two of Ecclesiastes, and we're going to be looking at verses 12 through 26.

So I want to start off talking about Toy Story. It's one of my favorite series in the Pixar universe.

Toy Story starts off with a kid named Andy. He has a bunch of toys. These toys come to

life when he's not around. So when he's asleep or when he's outside of the room, they take on a

life of their own. And Woody is one of the ringleaders. Buzz, Lightyear is one of the ringleaders.

And in a movie number three, Andy grows up and he's about to go to college.

And so he doesn't need toys anymore.

And so they're kind of having an existential crisis.

What are we going to do?

Well, somehow they end up in a daycare.

And in this daycare, they meet this guy named Lhazzo.

Now, Lhzo is pretty much the polar opposite of Woody. Let's call Lhzo a stoic. The Stoics and the

Epecarians, they were two schools of philosophical thought that was around in the time of Jesus.

And Lato fits the category of a Stoic perfectly, and Woody actually fits the category of an Epicurean very well.

So Lhzo says something in one of the first scenes where they meet him.

He says, when the kids get old, new ones come in.

When they get old, new ones replace them.

You'll never be outgrown or neglected, never abandoned or forgotten.

So I want to pose you the question, who is more happier in the toy story universe?

The toys in the daycare or the toys at home with Andy?

So Lhazzo represents the stoics, the daycare toys, and these toys, they think they've found,
