You have to learn to be happy with everyday life and with your life and to stop looking at the things that are just wrong

with your life and start finding the things that are right with your life

and maximize them. I do what I do because I've seen God's power

transform my own life and he will do it for you. The key to everything is found in God's work. I'm Joyce Meyer and I believe

that God can heal you everywhere you hurt. I just want to talk to you this weekend about enjoying everyday life.

I call my program the television program enjoying everyday life

because it took me a long time to learn how to do that.

I was raised by a man who wasn't very happy. How many of you were raised by

parents that weren't very happy? And not only was my father not happy.

He didn't really want anybody else around him to be happy.

I can actually remember getting in trouble for laughing

when he didn't feel like hearing somebody laugh.

And so when you grow up in that kind of an atmosphere you kind of learn to behave

certain ways thinking that if you do those things then you're going to get approval. And so it seemed to me as I grew up that

the more I worked and accomplished the happier people were with me. So I became a first rate workaholic and everything in my life was about

work work work accomplishment accomplishment. But you know something I discovered, biblicallyally God doesn't want us just to work all the time he wants us to work

But he wants us to have a balanced life and the Bible says that Jesus actually died so we could enjoy our life.

But there's three things that I want to drum home in these four sessions.

I want to talk you about enjoying everyday life and think about every day
