Summary

This week we were in the mood to laugh, so who better to invite back to the podcast than comedian Charlie Berens. Charlie is about to embark on his fourth stand-up tour, and he creates content for the internet just like us. He’s learned over time to stop chasing likes and algorithms and to focus on enjoying the process. Even if you don’t make silly videos for the internet, we’ve all fallen into the trap of “I’ll be happier when…” We keep moving the goalpost forward without taking time to admire how far we’ve come. As the great Miley Cyrus once said: It’s not about how fast I get there, it’s not about what’s waiting on the other side. It’s the climb. (And we talk all about it.)

0:26.3	repositioned it, so it was closer to the end of the reposition it, but like it was a little far
0:32.0	back in the shelf, and we really weren't to bring it fully into the light. So we did put it,
0:37.4	it is like an inch over the actual shelf and Eddie Target store we've gone to, and we did not
0:43.2	push the other games around it back. We did not touch the other game. I did, and then you told me
0:46.8	I had to stop. No, I'm like, I'm a wolf follower. We can't do that to the other games. It's not fair.
0:50.4	They've worked hard too, but like ours is just like an inch. It comes out of it. So just an
0:56.3	inch. So how did it feel to you to just walk into your your mother land or whatever you want to
1:02.8	call Target, like the place where you belong and see something that you had created?
1:09.2	I got tary-eyed. I cried a little bit. I got really emotional. We've worked and by not just us,
1:14.7	like the entire team of people that we have every Monday have a Zoom call with, have worked so
1:20.3	hard. And I think when you see something on a shelf, you don't always know how hard, like how
1:28.1	much work it goes to get into it. And so we worked so hard and then you go and it's so little
1:33.2	compared to a lot of big things that they have in the store. It's a card game.
1:37.1	Right. Well, everything else we've sold, like this video and this podcast is invisible.
1:42.0	It's subatomic. It's very, very small. So yeah, but you could hold it in your hand. So that's
1:48.0	something so cool to have created something you can hold in your hands. Again, I will say 1,000
1:52.4	times. There are 20 people that we meet with weekly or 10 people that had something to do with it.
