Hello, friends, this is Scott Paul-Lay, and I want to welcome you to enjoying the journey.

I've always enjoyed travel.

As a boy, I remember the one thing that I was most

anxious about was just getting there, getting to the destination. And yet, I've learned that the

anticipation of what we do once we arrive at the destination was part of the joy. As I get older,

I'm learning that much of the joy of the trip is the journey itself, and so it is with life.

Years ago, I heard a man say, I know as a Christian that I'm going to enjoy the destination, but I want to enjoy the journey.

We know that heaven will be wonderful, yet our loving Father desires that even the journey through this world, we made with joy.

Along the journey, there will be delays and detours and disappointments,

but along the journey there will also be delights and divine appointments.

And I don't know about you, I don't want to miss them.

You see, this journey is not a sprint, it's a marathon, it's not measured in miles, it's measured in days.

And it is not so much about ending at a different place as it is coming to a person, coming to know God.

Never forget that the most wonderful part of any trip is companionship.

The journey is always better with those you love.

And if you're a believer, you're not making this journey alone.

The Lord Jesus Christ has promised to be with you at every stage of the journey and to bring

you closer to himself.

If you can learn to enjoy Him, you can learn to enjoy the journey.

And so I want to challenge you to join us each Monday through Friday just for 10 minutes as we study the Word of God, the roadmap for time and all of eternity.

True and lasting joy is only found in Jesus Christ.

And all wise God has designed the Christian life so that those who follow Him will not only enjoy heaven someday they can enjoy the journey
