Blue Origin, the rocket company, founded by a billionaire Jeff Bezos, just successfully launched its first orbital rocket into space. It was a mission to prove its new Glenn rocket could reach orbit.

Blue Origin hopes to guide the rocket's first stage booster safely back to Earth to be refurbished and used once again, driving down the cost for future launches.

That is awesome that the technological advances that are being made in rocketry and all this sort of stuff coming from private sector.

The two richest guys in the world are doing the best stuff out there,

and they've got their egos and financial incentives to get better and better.

It's fantastic.

I also, I think it's just enthusiasm for it.

I think exploring the universe is an incredibly attractive proposition for these guys,

and I'm glad they're into it.
