My name is Edgar Vicente and these are Puerto Rico's top news.

We start off with Rosellos team fails at transparency.

So, Rosellos new chief of staff just cancelled a series of contracts

that a company named Virtuous Consulting held with the

Treasury Department. So the issue here is that Virtuous Consulting and a couple of other companies,

four other companies were linked to Rao Limaldonado, who was the previous Chief of Staff's son.

So these companies had over 20 contracts with the government, but they were all subcontracting the previous Chief of Staff's son.

And so these contracts are being investigated,

and the new Chief of Staff has just canceled three of them.

And we'll see where this goes, but you should know,

the previous Chief of Staff was not removed from the government.

He was simply transferred to a Treasury Department

where he is now director.

Moving on, the new director of maritime affairs won't be running the agency's day-to-day operations. Instead, a subdirector will be brought in, somebody with more experience because the new director has

very limited experience apparently, and maritime affairs. So somebody with more experience will be brought

in a subdirector to run the agency's data

of the operations while the new director is,

new job will be to form the a public private partnership deal

by summer.
