Good morning today is Monday March 4th, 2019. My name is Edgar Louis Senty and these are

Puerto Rico's top news for today. So we start off with a news that I would honestly

not even like to say, but 63 out of every 100 Bulletproof West in Puerto Rico are currently

expired. That's right. 63% of every Bulletproof West that our police owns are expired. That's right. Sixty-three percent of every bulletproof vest that our police owns are expired.

What makes this even worse is that the government is asking them for supplier quotes in order to see if they can cover the cost.

Which is honestly absurd because one would think this type of expenditure is simply approved no matter what.

We are talking about people's lives here.

And this is the same government

that just spent $100,000 in two governors' bust,

the same government that spent over $250,000

in a bulletproof car for the governor, a new one.

And there's just so many of these expenditures

that are like, you can't figure them out.

That one can't simply explain how they can talk about

bullet proof vest, people's lives,

and simply say, oh, we might not find the money for it.

What's even worse, yes, because it gets even worse,

is that the police chief was quoted protecting

the government by saying that even though the manufacturers only guarantee the bulletproof

vest for five years, it doesn't mean that they will not work after that period.

I mean, are you willing to take the chance that they will not work?

Are we willing as a country to take the chance that these bulletproof vests will not work? I don't know, but for me this Puerto Rico's top news
