Good morning today is Friday, March 15th, 2019.

My name is Edgar D'Oisenti and these are Puerto Rico's top news for today.

So we start off with news about Noel Samot, who is the

Revitalization Coordinator for the Board, the Oversight Board.

So his job was pretty much to bring investment to Puerto Rico,

bring investment especially to the power authority and be kind of a liaison between the private

industry, the board and the government. But he has pretty much not done anything and now he's

explaining why he was explaining why in a conference and he

was porting pretty much saying that he would bring great ideas to the government that

government would say yes that's a great idea but then they would turn around and bypass

him and go to a private contractor who was a friend with the party or was a friend of

somebody who belongs to the party and and present the project to them

without including Samot and the oversight board. He also said that he would bring investors and

the government would say yeah yeah yeah but then they would just go around and look for their

own group of investors to finance their projects. He also said that Puerto Rico lost $3 billion in federal investments

because the federal government pretty much just thinks that Puerto Rico is a corrupt place,

four of corrupt officials, and they weren't willing to bring the investment here, which

pretty much just goes to the first two things that he said. And finally, he said that he would start talking

with government agencies and government officials

about private deals, about private information.

And then those officials would turn around

and tell their friends or related companies
